Time to Myself

Must be home by eight
wasn’t even listening to Tate
Don’t wanna be so late
so they won’t close on me the gate

Maybe I just need a rest
little break from the fest
one flower, bit o’ laugh
can make everything less rough
take a breath, be yourself
not everything is life or death
what’s the good in all this run
if you can’t have some fun

Take a bite of the the meal
just to know how it feel
needs to go make the deal
don’t have any time to chat
or have a glance at the beautiful cat
must make all the things set

Go to bed, lay my head
can I do something else instead
make a story, dream to fly
everthin’s better than a boring lye
